Overview

We're partnering with a highly respected physician-led health system to launch a new employed OB Hospitalist program in Des Moines, Iowa. This is a rare opportunity to help shape the future of Women's Health, with outstanding compensation, a flexible schedule, and the resources of a premier regional referral center.

Core Responsibilities

You'll care for:
Obstetric emergencies
Unassigned labor patients
Vaginal deliveries
Cesarean sections
High-risk pregnancies alongside Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists
OB Emergency Department patients
Approximately 7 twenty-four-hour shifts per month (84 annually)
Flexible scheduling with excellent work-life balance
No clinic responsibilities
No traditional call

Approximately 3,000 annual deliveries
Approximately 1,400 OB Emergency Department visits annually
622-bed Level II Trauma Center
Level III NICU
Dedicated 8-bed OB Emergency Department
15 Labor & Delivery suites
Collaborative multidisciplinary Women's Health program
Iowa's only maternal transport team
No Call

Patient Volume

Approximately 3,000 annual deliveries, Approximately 1,400 OB Emergency Department visits annually

Compensation & Benefits

Guaranteed $400,000 base salary
$150,000 recruitment incentive
Paid malpractice with tail coverage
